A Low Maintenance Garden in Hackney

This was an unusual garden situated at the ground floor of a tower block of flats near Hackney Downs Station, in London. The garden and the back of the property was overlooked by a housing development directly in front of the garden and there was no side access. It had a neglected patio and a decaying shed and lacklustre garden. The client wanted a colourful low maintenance garden in a contemporary cottage style, that provided colour and interest throughout the year and crucially created privacy from the back of the property.
